  Sounds very interesting! On the idea of the book of messages on church signs, but with more freedom and more diversity of messages. I can't imagine how they'll cull through the lot to pick the best! Should be very interesting, and hopefully, inspiring to readers.

  I'm glad to hear that the monkeys being used in the Southwick's Zoo Monkey College program were bred at the zoo and not taken from the wild. However, I still have slight discomfort with the fact that exotic animals are being used for human service. This goes for dolphins in animal-assisted therapy for depression sufferers. I'm glad there's a way to help these people in need, but I'm just not sure this is the BEST way to help them. Hopefully, someone will discover a better way in the future.

  Inspirational

  Kavli is truly inspirational. It's great to see someone spending their fortune on making the world a better place. I just hope that the people who win the awards, who supposedly are just getting started in their science careers, continue to work hard to achieve even more for the planet using their award and the recognition they receive with it.

  so inspiring

  I love this idea of the collage that creative chronicles contributers' travels. I especially was interested in the Italian business card. It is so simple, yet so meaningful to the contributer. This was just my first GOOD magazine, but already I am inspired and feel at home with others who can appreciate simplicity and all things "good."

  I Partially Agree...

  Yes, we need to make changes and improvements in the short term, I completely agree with that. But we can't let the dream of 100+ mpg slip out of our minds. So, I agree that we can't wait until that day comes when we can FINALLY get 100+ mpg. But, do you really think people would be willing to make a change twice? (first, a short term change, then the change once we reach 100+mpg?)
  I'm someone who would be willing, because I believe something has to be done, and I'm sure some of you feel the same way. But is the rest of the world really like you and me?

  beautiful story

  I just got my first issue of Good Magazine, and this article convinced me that the name really is well-deserved. Not only is Children of the Night doing something good for the world, as all others who have commented have said, but GOOD is doing good just by covering this kind of story. How many times do you look in a magazine and find an article this meaningful, this powerful, and this beautiful? So, a big "It's Good" to Children of the Night and GOOD!
